About

Terry Atkinson is a certified life and career coach who also has the distinction of being a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Texas . She holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas and worked for over 20 years as an environmental consultant to several large and small corporations prior to finding her true calling and passion as a coach.

As a career coach, she now uses her unique blend of skills and general business knowledge to help individuals determine their specials strengths and skills and then find the best fit to maximize job performance and achieve success in life. She also loves to help people work past the roadblocks that keep them from enjoying their work and living their lives to the fullest.

For those who wonder how an engineer got into coaching, it's really very simple. Engineers like to problem-solve, work intuitively, analyze situations and keep things running properly. Most engineers apply these skills to physical processes. Terry likes to do this too but actually prefers to use all these skills instead to help people and organizations run properly. She is able, as well, to incorporate all the business skills she has learned over the years as an environmental consultant - and even as a Mom!

On the side, Terry also heads up a ministry at her church helping those who are looking for employment. If that describes you or someone you know and you live in the general Houston area, you are welcome to take advantage of this opportunity to get support as well as help with resume preparation, networking tips, interview helps and any other areas related to a successful job search.

This informal group meets
from 7-9pm on Monday nights
at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church,
7801 Cypresswood Dr. ,
Spring,
TX 77379.

Testimonial:

Terry Atkinson kept me on-pace and on-target during this past year while I was overwhelmed with a potential new employment opportunity, creating a talk radio show, as well as writing and editing my first book. Calm, focused and passionate about what you are doing is Terry's hallmark. You may not even recognize, until well after the fact, how much her guidance has meant to you.

Thank you for your enthusiasm and energy during our career coaching sessions. Working with you to align my personal and professional goals with my value system has been extremely valuable. When I was recently faced with selecting between job offers, you were able to offer clarity and a logic that supported a natural and obvious selection. Your assessment of the choices was absolutely correct resulting in a terrific work experience. Blending the professional counseling with personal considerations has been a natural extension of the coaching program.
